Hello! My name is Leigh Healy. My husband and I settled in New Bern in 2008 with our family. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy reading a good book, singing with the Resurrection Singers, spending time on the river, and walking our beloved black lab, Deac.
I'm passionate about helping students develop into stronger readers, writers, and spellers. After almost twenty years as a classroom teacher and reading specialist, Healy Literacy was born.
I provide individualized tutoring for students with dyslexia and dysgraphia, as well as professional learning opportunities for educators seeking a deeper understanding of structured literacy.
